Acro is a unique blend of dance and gymnastic disciplines, that allows dancers to move from stunning acrobatic type movements, into traditional steps and elements that make up many styles of dance. The Acrobatic Arts program is designed to teach students a complete understanding of AcroDance and is based on the five divisions:

Acro Kids
No previous acro skills required. In this class we will be teaching our students the fundamentals of acro. Beginning with conditioning skills that are age appropriate into Planks then baby bridge into full bridge moving onto forward rolls. We will also be learning beginner cartwheels on raised mats progressing to cartwheels on the floor. We will begin to learn how to execute proper headstands and handstands, preparing these students to move onto level 1.Â

Level 1
Should have mastered the following skills to be in Level 1:
-Cartwheel on at least 1 side
-Somersault/forward roll
-Bridge laying from the ground with straight arms
-Handstand kickup
-Bridge walks
Mondays 6:15-7p
Wednesdays 6:15-7p
Level 2
Should have mastered the following skills to be in Level 2:
-Cartwheel on both sides
-Bridge recovery (going down to bridge and standing up by yourself)
-Handstand kick up
-Backbend kickover
-Front limber (handstand to bridge)
-Chest stand (holding for 5 seconds with legs straight and feet together)
Tuesdays 1:15-2p
Wednesdays 5:30-6:15p
Level 3
Should have mastered the following skills to be in Level 3:
-Cartwheel on both sides
-Bridge recovery (going down to bridge and standing up by yourself)
-Handstand kick up (hold for 5 seconds with feet together)
-Front walkover
-Back walkover
-Chest stand (holding for 10 seconds with legs straight and feet together)
-Bridge walks
-Inside out bridges (flipping in and out of your bridge)
-Dive cartwheels
Tuesdays 6-6:45p
Wednesdays 7-7:45p
Level 4
Should have mastered the following skills to be in Level 4:
-Cartwheel on both sides
-Bridge recovery (going down to bridge and standing up by yourself)
-Handstand kick up on both legs (hold for 8 seconds with feet together)
-Front walkover
-Back walkover
-Aerial (by yourself)
-Headspring (head kip)
-Dive front walkoverÂ
