Monthly Newsletter
Our monthly newsletter, “Dance Express” will be distributed each month by e-mail.  It is also available to view on our website or can be picked up at the front desk. The newsletter will have important information and the monthly activity calendar for our parents/ dancers to help you keep current with the Dance Arts Centre activities and noteworthy dates.

Dance Attire/ Dress Code
For all other classes you can wear leotards, tights, jazz pants, dance shorts or jazz tops. Hair must be pulled back in a ponytail or bun for all classes. For ballet classes only, all dancers must wear solid leotards and pink or black tights.  3/4 & 5/6 year olds:  
You can wear tan strappy tap shoes, pink ballet shoes.7 and older:  
You can wear tan strappy taps and foot paws for jazz.Hip-Hop:
You can wear tennis shoes (please, no black soles).Ballet*:  
You can wear pink ballet shoes.

Please write your dancer’s name on all shoes and dance bags!

Missed Classes
Missed classes can be made up whenever possible.  You can come to another class of the same age & level to make-up a missed class. We’d be happy to assist you in finding an appropriate class to attend.  There are NO refunds for missed classes.

Recital
Our 2008 recital is schedule for June 8-12 at Hopkins High School Auditorium.

Class/ Individual Pictures
A professional photographer will be here in May 2008, to take pictures of your dancer and their class in full costume. These pictures are optional, but they are a great way to have a memory of your year at Dance Arts Centre.

Punctuality
Dancers are asked that they arrive at least 5 minutes earlier than the start of their class time.  This will allow them to get dressed if needed, use the restroom, and enter the classroom on time.  Parents of children under 8, please take your child to the rest room prior to class to avoid disruptions.

Student Safety
Parents, PLEASE be on time picking up your children! Dance Arts Centre cannot be held responsible for them once their class has ended. We also ask that you do not allow your children to run in the studio, climb on ledges or chairs, or enter unoccupied dance floors. We invite you to enjoy our sibling playroom area located in the rear of the studio. All children not in class must be supervised!

Retail
For your convenience, our retail floor offers dance shoes, leotards, tights and some other fun dance items. Dance shoes are fitted by our staff and if shoes need to be ordered, the shoes usually arrive in 3 to 5 business days (unless they are specified on “back order”). Click here to see more!
